Siloe school is a government school on private property owned by Catholic Church. It is located on 1547 Vreederust Farm, Thokgoaneng Village, 35 kms South of Polokwane on the R 37 National Road to Burgersfoort. Siloe school for the blind caters for leaners with blindness, partially sighted, multiple disability and albinism from Grade R to 7.

* To provide innovative and relevant educative instruction to visually impaired learners by guiding them to an independent and responsible adulthood. 

MISSION

* To support all learners, educators and the systems as a whole so that the full range of learning needs can be met.

* The focus is on teaching and learning actors, with the emphasis on the development of good teaching strategies that will be of benefit to all learners.

* To overcome barriers in the system that prevents it from meeting the full range of learning needs. The focus is on the adaption and support system available in the classroom. To recognise and respect the differences amongst all stakeholders.
